5 Steps to Perfection (Exterior Care)
1. Washing
Rinse your car thoroughly to remove loose contaminates from your cars paint surface before shampooing.
We strongly advise that you do not use dish-washing detergents or cheap car wash shampoos because they can strip off paint protection and will speed up the oxidation process caused by the sun.
2. Pre Polish Surface Test
After washing and drying the surface with either a soft micro fibre cloth of chamois run the tips of your fingers across the paint surface, it should feel as smooth as glass. If this is not the case then the surface is not ready to be polished.
What you are feeling is bonded contaminates that need to be removed, this can be achieved with the use of our Clay Bar or Fallout Remover. If the surface has swirl marks or slight oxidisation this can be treated with one of our compounds, for example CP Cut 5000.
3. Tar Removal
It is inevitable that at some stage after driving you will find tar spots on your car, depending on how long this has been allowed to dry on the surface it can be removed with the use of our Clay Bar however if it is stubborn then the use of our Sticky stuff Remover maybe required to remove it in one easy step.
4. Polish, Waxing, Sealants.
We realise this is an area which can commonly confuse people as polish is the key step for restoring rich, vibrant paint colour with sparkling, swirl-free high gloss effect. We offer variants on this dependant on what you wish to achieve.
Our Super3 Polish is a good all rounder and is easy to apply as it has a paint cleanser, polish and 3 natural waxes in one step.
Our Violet Wax Polish has a polish and blend of different natural waxes to achieve an extremely high gloss finish and is recommended after the use of compound due to its anti-hologram properties but don't confuse this with a long term sealant as its best applied every 3 to 6 months.
Our Perfect Pearl is a sealant which will protect your cars surface for extended periods of time, as this is PTFE based once allowed to cure it will stop surface contaminates bonding to your car as well as preventing the suns UV rays from penetrating the surface causing oxidization, for optimum results apply this annually and is better applied using a orbital or D A polishing machine.
5. Maintenance.
Every day your car faces the fight against the unforgivable elements, removing surface contaminants (i.e. fallout, diesel exhaust, overspray, hard water spots, tree sap, bird droppings etc) the instant they are discovered and before they have time to bond or etch into the paint finish is imperative. Our Liquid Detailing Wax quickly removes fresh contaminants on the spot without scratching your paints finish.
